Speech 1 Outline

Introduction - Show commercial - Speak about general overview of what commercial is More in depth -Start speaking about setting, characters, etc. and go into how they are important to the overall message -Determine the purpose of the commercial -Speak about ways that the company is using the commercial to be effective. (Tone, Theme, Colors, etc.) Further Discussion -Discuss whether or not the commercial is effective -How did they achieve this? Conclusion -Speak about overall meaning again and generalize effectiveness and the reasoning for it.

The first thing that jumps out after the first time that I watched the commercial was the fact that the authors main way of attracting the audience was with the use of humor. Furthermore, the setting of the commercial, in an office, makes it even more humorous. The purpose of the commercial is to, of course, have people buy bud light. However, the way this commercial tries to accomplish this is by making the audience laugh. Therefore, any time someone goes to buy beer, or even thinks about beer, they think about the commercial and of course associate it with bud light. The audience is so broad in this sort of area because there are so many people in the country who regularly drink beer.
