This is an academic source. The reason that I chose to use this as one of my sources is that it gives insight as to how a proper e-mail should be sent. It uses terms and vocabulary that people in real estate would understand. I will use this to show proper academic writing in the field.

This is a non-academic source. I chose to use this because this is directed at people who may want to sell their homes. Therefore, they do not know about real estate most likely and the language use has to be very general in order for the general public to understand.

https://www.investopedia.com/articles/pf/06/realestateinvest.asp

This is also a non-academic source. It is non-academic because it is trying to teach people who do not know about real estate, or have a very general understanding of it, how to invest in a property. Therefore, it also uses very basic language. I think this would be good for me to use because it focuses very specifically on the investment side of real estate, which is what I want to focus on the most.

The first thing that jumps out after the first time that I watched the commercial was the fact that the authors main way of attracting the audience was with the use of humor. Furthermore, the setting of the commercial, in an office, makes it even more humorous. The purpose of the commercial is to, of course, have people buy bud light.
